A quiet German label for a loud idea — everyday clothes in the best natural fibres, made to last.

Peter Hahn
Peter Hahn is a quiet German name for a loud idea: that everyday clothes should be made of the best natural fibres, and made to last.
The houseGermany · Winterbach, est. 1964

Winterbach, 1964. Begun
in llama hair.

Margit and Peter Hahn founded the house in Winterbach, Germany, in 1964, making coats, jackets and blankets from llama hair — a warm, light natural fibre that filled a real gap. From that beginning it grew into a European multichannel house built on the finest natural materials: cashmere, Supima cotton, silk and linen.

A note on what it is: Peter Hahn is not a couture house but a quality label — classic, well-made clothing in good fibres, sold for more than sixty years. It was acquired by the Wourth Group in 2024.

Naturals, chosen well.

Peter Hahn is, at heart, a fibre-led label — so the most useful reading sits in our cashmere and silk notes, where the qualities that make a natural fibre worth having are set out in full.

How we approach Peter Hahn

We assess each Peter Hahn piece on the fibre, the cut and the honest condition — and we describe precisely what the garment and its markings show.

We make no claim of certification or exact dating beyond what the piece itself carries.

Full measurements and condition are on each product page. Where maker labelling is present, we record it as found.
In vintageWhy it holds

Why vintage Peter Hahn
is quiet value.

A Peter Hahn piece offers real cashmere, silk or fine cotton, cut classically and made to last, without a marquee mark-up. For a wardrobe built on cloth rather than logos, it is genuinely good value.

We present what we have honestly, condition described plainly.
