We sell one-of-a-kind vintage garments. The nature of what we do means some standard retail policies do not apply. We have tried to be as clear and direct as possible below.

Placing & managing your order.

Browse the archive and click "Add to cart" on any piece you wish to purchase. The cart icon in the top right corner shows a notification with the number of items in your bag. When you are ready, click "Check out" to complete your delivery and payment details — or select PayPal if that is your preference.

Any applicable discounts and shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery country. Once your order is confirmed, you will receive an Order Confirmation email. Please check your spam folder if it does not arrive within a few minutes.

No. Every garment in the vestiaire is available to purchase immediately and sells on a first-come basis. We are not able to hold pieces without payment. If you have a question about a specific piece before purchasing, use our contact form — we respond promptly and are happy to advise.

This most likely means the piece was purchased by another customer before your order was completed. Because every garment is one-of-a-kind, we cannot reserve items in the cart. If the piece you wanted is no longer available, use our contact form to let us know what you were looking for — we may be able to help.

If you reach out to us within 3 hours of placing your order, we will do our best to accommodate a cancellation or change. Once an order has been prepared for dispatch or handed to the courier, we are unable to make amendments. Use our contact form with your order number as soon as possible.

Yes. Everything in the vestiaire is one-of-a-kind vintage. There are no reorders, no restocks, no duplicates. When a piece is gone, it is gone. This is the nature of what we do.

We can try. We make no guarantees — but if you describe what you are looking for, we take note of it when we source.

The more specific you are, the more useful it is. If you are looking for a shearling coat in a particular size, length, and colour — or a specific designer in a different silhouette from what we currently have — describe it to us through our contact form. We will let you know honestly whether it is something we are likely to find, and we will reach out if something matching your description enters the archive.

Dispatch, tracking, and delivery.

We ship worldwide from Greece. Every order is prepared by us within 2–4 business days of confirmed payment — this is the time we take to carefully pack your piece before it leaves our hands. This is preparation time, not transit time.

Once dispatched, you will receive a tracking number by email. Every order travels on a tracked service.

Greece & Cyprus — On us. 3–5 business days.

European Union — €10. 7–14 business days. On us over €200.

United Kingdom — €12. 9–18 business days. On us over €250.

USA & Canada — €18. 7–14 business days. On us over €250.

Australia & New Zealand — €15. 9–18 business days. On us over €250.

Rest of World — €18. 9–18 business days. On us over €250.

All estimates are in business days from the moment of dispatch — not from the date of order. Customs processing time is not included and may add additional days depending on your country.

Yes. Orders over €200 within the EU, and over €250 to every destination worldwide. Greece and Cyprus are on us regardless of order value.

Start by checking your tracking link — parcels are often held briefly at a customs facility en route, which is normal and typically resolves within some days.

If your tracking shows no movement for more than 5 business days, or the estimated delivery window has passed, please reach out through our contact form with your order number and the product's title. We will look into it and keep you informed.

We understand the anticipation that comes with receiving something you have carefully selected. While customs procedures and potential third-party delays are beyond our control, we will do our best to support you and remain by your side until your order reaches you.

Every order passes through our hands before it reaches yours. We pack each piece ourselves — with care, not routine — because we know what it took to find it and what it will mean to receive it. Each garment is protected to arrive in the same condition it left us.

We hope that when you open it, it feels like it was prepared for you. Because it was.

Our policy, stated plainly.

Generally, no — all sales are final. As each piece is one-of-a-kind vintage, we are unable to accept returns or cancellations for change of mind, styling preferences, or sizing issues not attributable to us.

Each piece is one-of-a-kind. If you have any hesitation before purchasing, reach out through our contact form — a quick message is all it takes, and we will share what information we have.

We will take responsibility when something on our side has not been accurately represented — if an item differs from what was described, a flaw was not noted in the listing, or there is a meaningful discrepancy in condition. In those cases, please reach out through our contact form and we will work to find a resolution together.

What falls outside our responsibility: purchasing without reviewing the available information, a change of preference after receiving the piece, or a colour or silhouette that did not work as hoped.

Where a listing carries measurements or a "best fits like" note, that is what we have on the piece. If you are unsure, ask before ordering.

If a listing does not include measurements, or if you are unsure before purchasing — between sizes, planning to layer, or uncertain how a particular silhouette will work for you — please use our contact form before placing your order. We will share what we have and advise the best we can. This is the right time to ask.

If something does not seem right upon receiving your order, please reach out through our contact form within 7 days of delivery. Include your order number, a clear description of the concern, and photographs where relevant. We will respond as soon as possible.

Please do not return or send back any piece without first hearing from us — we need to assess the situation before any next steps can be taken, and returns made without prior communication cannot be processed on our end.

How we select. What to expect.

Vintage garments carry their age — wear at the cuffs, a repaired seam, a mark in a lining. That is part of what the piece has lived through. If you want a closer look at any detail before buying, ask us through the chat or the contact form and we will send more photographs. Before anything leaves us, it is cleaned, prepared, and where needed, carefully addressed by us. We aim to present each piece in the best vintage condition possible. We do not pass on what we would not keep ourselves.

A discrepancy is something that was not disclosed in the listing — a flaw described incorrectly or omitted entirely. General signs of vintage wear that are consistent with what was described and photographed are not discrepancies — they are part of what makes each piece what it is.

If something in a listing raises a question for you, ask us before purchasing — we are always willing to share more.

Vintage sizing. How to read it.

Where available, we include measurements taken with the garment laid flat — this is the most reliable guide. We also provide a "best fits like" indication to give you a sense of how the piece wears in practice.

It feels worth considering that with outerwear — particularly coats, fur, and shearling — wearing a size up often looks and feels more generous, more comfortable, and more in keeping with how these pieces are meant to be worn.

Not every listing will include a full measurements note. If you are unsure, ask us through the chat or our contact form before purchasing — we will measure the piece for you and talk you through the fit.

If you would like the longer answer on reading vintage sizing, we have written one: what size am I in vintage?

Reach out to us before purchasing. Tell us your measurements and how you prefer your outerwear to fit — whether you wear it close or prefer room for layering. We know each piece and can talk you through how it is likely to sit. We would rather you ask than proceed with something that does not work for you.

Yes. If measurements are included in the listing, they are taken with the garment laid flat. We recommend measuring a similar garment you already own, or taking your own body measurements, to compare.

If no measurements are listed, ask us through the chat or our contact form — we will measure the piece for you and talk you through the fit.

How we accept payment.

The available payment methods will be displayed at checkout once you have added your desired product(s) to the cart.

Yes. All transactions are processed through an encrypted, secure payment system. We do not store, see, or have access to your card details at any point — payment information passes directly and securely between you and the payment processor.

What happens at the border.

This depends on where the order is going.

United States. Import duty is prepaid before dispatch, so it is not collected on delivery. Any additional costs, taxes or charges — state sales and use tax among them — are not included in the item price or the shipping cost and remain the responsibility of the buyer. We have set this out in full for US buyers: customs and import duty from Europe to the USA.

European Union. The order moves within the EU customs union, so there are no import duties or customs formalities on arrival.

Everywhere else, including the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand — any import duty, tax or charge applied on arrival is set by the destination country. It is not included in our prices or shipping fees and remains the responsibility of the recipient. We are unable to predict or advise on these amounts; your local customs authority can confirm what applies.

No. We declare all shipments accurately and at full value. Misrepresentation on customs documents is illegal and creates liability for both parties. We will not do this under any circumstances.

Contact your local customs authority directly, using the tracking number we provided. Customs holds are common for international shipments of clothing and are typically resolved within a few business days once you supply any requested documentation. If the courier contacts you for additional information — such as a tax number or identification — this is standard procedure for high-value international shipments and does not indicate a problem.

Making it last.

As a general principle, dry clean or follow the care label indication — particularly for structured coats, shearlings, leather, and fur. Store in a breathable garment bag and avoid prolonged direct sunlight.

We have written dedicated material notes for each of the fibres and garment types in our archive — cashmere, silk, leather, fur, shearling, suits and blazers, and the trench coat. Each note covers the story of the material and includes care guidance specific to it. You can read them in our Material Notes section.

Our guide to caring for vintage clothing covers the general principles in more depth.

These garments were crafted to last through ages — a little specialist care keeps them exactly that way. Professional cleaning by someone who understands the material is always a sound decision, particularly for fur, leather, and shearling.

Who we are and how we work.

We do not place bulk orders and we do not buy bales. Every piece is found and chosen one by one, by us. We do not disclose specific sources, but what matters to us is the same every time: material, construction, and the history of the maker. Pieces we cannot stand behind do not enter.

You buy something once — and it stays with you. That is the whole idea. More on who we are and how we work.

Designer attribution starts with the original labelling, alongside construction, materials, and provenance. For pieces where designer identity is uncertain, we say so directly in the listing — we do not attribute a name we cannot support.

We add pieces as we find and prepare them — there is no fixed schedule, no drops, no timed releases. The best way to stay close to the archive is to follow us on Instagram and subscribe to our newsletter. New arrivals appear there first, and some pieces sell before most people have had a chance to look.

You can also check the New In section of the archive whenever you like.

Reach out through our contact form and tell us about it. We are always open to exploring, and if there is something worth looking at together, we will. We cannot make any arrangements at this stage, but we are always happy to have the conversation.
