Corneliani was founded in Mantua in 1958 by the Corneliani family, and grew into one of the reference points of fine Italian menswear. The house is known for the precision of its tailoring — jackets, suits and, notably, outerwear — made in Italy to a consistently high standard.
As a maker, Corneliani cuts and constructs; the cloth is frequently woven by the great Italian mills.

Who made it, and who wove it.
As a tailoring house, Corneliani cuts and constructs the garment — the cloth itself is often woven by a specialist mill. A “Corneliani coat in Loro Piana cloth” means Corneliani made the coat and Loro Piana wove the fabric: two different kinds of excellence, both worth knowing. It is why we record the maker and, where the label states it, the mill.
