Marzotto
Marzotto began in 1836 as a small wool-weaving mill in Valdagno, in the Veneto.
Luigi Marzotto founded a small wool-weaving factory in Valdagno in 1836, then still under Habsburg rule. It was created as the Lanificio Luigi Marzotto & Figli. It grew into one of Italy's largest textile groups. In 2005 its textile business separated from the Valentino Fashion Group, and it continues to weave today.

Read the piece,
not the name.
When Marzotto appears on a garment, it may name the cloth rather than the maker, so read both labels. Start with the composition, feel the weight and the hand of the cloth, then check the lining, the seams and the buttonholes, and compare flat measurements with a garment that already fits you. Our Cashmere Story and the designers index explain the difference between maker and mill.
